Along this route you will find:
Kloten
The village's history is divided into three epochs. A time of iron production in a smelter starting in the 1600s. A timber and lumberjack era between the late 1800s and early 1900s. In modern times, we live in the third epoch of the village of Kloten with a time of recreation, nature, adventure and activity tourism. At the end of the iron handling period and the beginning of the timber and lumberjack era, Kloten had a population of more than 1000 people. Today there are around 30 permanent residents. In the village there are canoes, kayaks and MTB for rent and the opportunity to participate in a wildlife safari.
Klotenklotgeta
Blast furnace rim from the Kloten smelter.
The ruins of what was once the blast furnace are located 7 meters from the road on the right side, along the stream between Lake Kloten and Långvattnet. Water power for the furnace's bellows was taken from a water wheel in the stream. Pig iron was produced at the site between 1680 and 1910.

A fixed fire pit is placed in front of the shelter.
Canoe Transport
Between Lake Norra Bredsjön and Lake Stora Korslången, there is a 50-meter stretch without a water connection. Today, there is a land transport path for canoes and kayaks along the paddling route. In the past, this was a transshipment point for iron ore. The iron ore came from the mines in Grängesberg and was transported via the lakes to the smelters at Kloten and Bredsjö. Remnants of a railway track, on which wagons were pulled between the two lakes, still exist.
Accommodation in River Lodge
The River Lodge is a cosy house with 4 rooms that can accomidate up to 12 people. It is located on the north shore of the lake Långvattnet. It is a great place to stay no matther if you get here by car, bike, canoe or on foot.

Wilderness Camping
Wilderness Camping is a small campsite with tent and camper spots. Here you can camp when doing activities in the area. Here you have hiking, biking and canoeing right outside your tent.

Fly Fishing in Spannån
Spannån is a small river that flows inbetween the lakes of Spannsjön and Söndagssjön. The river is a great place for fly fishing, a fishing license is required. Only fly fishing is allowed in the river.
A small river flows around an island with a bench and bridge, located next to the wilderness camping in Sweden.
Björsjö
Iron was produced at the site between 1658 and 1931.
The Skräddartorp Waterfall
Beautiful waterfall where the water flow in Hedströmmen leaves the Malingsbo-Kloten Nature Reserve high plateau. The wind shelter at the waterfall is a recommended rest place. A fixed fireplace is placed in front of the wind shelter.
