Today’s final winter tour faced poor snow conditions, so we switched to hiking instead of snowshoes. Despite the limited snow, we found fresh tracks and clear wolf droppings. The snow was unfortuenately too sparse to follow the tracks for long. The group warmed up with moose wraps and hot drinks on the trail and finished with a wrap-up at the Nordic Discovery base in front of the fireplace.

Today we had good, fast ice conditions on our way out in the morning, when the ice was still cold from the night. Later in the day, after soaking in the sun during lunch, the ice had warmed up, which made for a more challenging return. Many thanks to Paulin and Nils for joining us!
