This is the shortest and easiest bike trail in Kloten. It is a great introduction to the area, wilderness and caracter of the Malingsbo-Kloten Nature Reserve. The trail starts and ends at the Nordic Discovery Adventure Center in Kloten and passes small lakes, beautiful forests and a couple of wind shelters where you can take a break and enjoy the nature. Perfect for families and beginners.

Along this route you will find:
Kloten
The village's history is divided into three epochs. A time of iron production in a smelter starting in the 1600s. A timber and lumberjack era between the late 1800s and early 1900s. In modern times, we live in the third epoch of the village of Kloten with a time of recreation, nature, adventure and activity tourism. At the end of the iron handling period and the beginning of the timber and lumberjack era, Kloten had a population of more than 1000 people. Today there are around 30 permanent residents. In the village there are canoes, kayaks and MTB for rent and the opportunity to participate in a wildlife safari.
The old railway station
Between 1877 and 1934 there was a railway between Kloten and Bånghammar (Bånghammar is located a few kilometers south of Kopparberg). Between the railway station and the Nordic Discovery Adventure Center, the former loading platform (built of slag stone) remains. An information board shows interesting pictures from the past.
The Locomotive shed
The locomotive shed in Kloten was used for storing and maintaining locomotives during the time of the railway between Kloten and Bånghammar.
Långtjärnen Wind Shelter
The wind shelter is located next to the water and has a fireplace. Take the bridge over the water or walk around the lake to get to the wind shelter. The wind shelter is also located next to a forest road which means a greater likelihood of encountering people.
Storberget Viewing Point
The Storberget viewing point is a great place to take a break and enjoy the view over the lake. The cliffs here are about 15 meters high and go straight down to the water. The water is not very deep here, so cliff jumping or deep water soloing is unfortunately not recommended. The place is located on the North Canoe Trail, about 1 km north of Storbergsudden.
Storbergsudden Wind Shelter
The wind shelter is located next to the water and has a fireplace. The wind shelter is also located next to a forest road which means a greater likelihood of encountering people or free campers in a caravan. A good backup if it is occupied is to pitch the tent on the peninsula next to it in a westerly direction.
